Cairo was bred in Ireland by David and Morag Connolly and when  he came over to England we knew he was something special. Cairo has had a wonderful start to his show career gaining his first CC at the tender age of 7 months under K. Baldwin. His Junior Warrant came at 8 months of age and he was also BCCGB Top Puppy Dog 2021. Cairo's 2nd and 3rd CC followed shortly after from K. Young and T. Johnston. 

Cairo assured his place in breed history in 2024, when he became only the third ever full champion, which means he achieved both the requisite three championship certificates and a herding recognition. This in itself is a rare achievement, but Cairo's was all the more remarkable because his herding award was registration on merit with the International Sheepdog Society, the only full champion to do so. Having achieved so much before Cairo was three years old, he had crowned another remarkable year by yet another historic achievement. He has become the first ever Border Collie UK full champion to also achieve the International Champion qualification under the FCI rules. 
In one of those CACIB Shows where he won the CACIB and Best of Breed under B Muller, then went to win FCI Group 1, from 32 best of breeds, then Best in Show by CH Jouanchicot, and then awarded Supreme Best In Show by FCI president  Tamas Jakkel.
