ABOUT HYSTEPS
At Hysteps Border Collies, our passion is the Border Collie, an intelligent, loyal, and versitile breed that has captured our hearts for many years.
Based in Oxfordshire, we are a small, dedicated kennel focused o breeding healthy, well-balanced Border Collies that reflect the true qualities of the breed. Our dogs are raised as part of the family and are given the time, care and attention they deserve to develop confident temperaments and strong bonds with people.
We carefully plan each litter with the goal of preserving the Border Collies natural ability, sound structure, and beautiful expression. Health, temperament and breed type are always at the center of our breeding program. Our dogs enjoy success in the show ring while also being active, intelligent companions that thrive in family homes and working homes.
Hysteps is built on a genuine love for the breed. We take pride in supporting our puppy owners and staying connected with the families who welcome a Hysteps dog into their lives.

Border Collies have been a part of my life for as long as i remember. In 1968 I got my first Border Collie, a lovely little black and white girl from a farmer in Sussex. This was the start of my love of obedience and we had lots of fun together. Soon work got in the way and although I always kept a couple of Border Collies in my life, it wasn't util I retired that I made the decision to get a show Border Collie. A lovely girl, Dior joined me, bred by Robert Harlow. She did me proud, giving me a great introduction to the show world. I then got a girl from Di Kinsey, Mirage, who became my foundation bitch.
Later Klara Zolakova joined me in partnership under the Hysteps affix. We are so lucky to have bred such beautiful dogs that do obedience, work sheep, agility and show.
I sincerely believe that Border Collies should be healthy and have super temperaments and this is what we strive to achieve.
